Abstract

En el artículo de revisión se analiza el papel que desempeñan las universidades en la transformación y el desarrollo social, con énfasis en el rol de la extensión universitaria como núcleo de avance y expresión de su pertinencia. Asimismo se valoran diversas tendencias del proceso de gestión de la extensión universitaria y su impacto cultural en la comunidad.
