The formation of promoters of health epigenetics in community contexts
Keywords:

Introduction: Epigenetic health promotion in community settings represents an essential pathway for preventing diseases and other health-related harms that impact human well-being at both individual and collective levels.
Objective: To evaluate the essential elements of a training program for epigenetic health promoters in community settings.
Methods: A qualitative study conducted between september 2025 and march 2026. The methods employed included the historical-logical approach, analysis-synthesis, systematization, and modeling—applied primarily to the curriculum design. Document review, surveys, and expert consultations were also used to gather evaluative insights regarding the program's relevance.
Results: Curricular components of the program were modeled, specifying objectives, content elements, the primary organizational format, and a set of methodological guidelines for practical implementation. Validation of the training program demonstrated the relevance of the curriculum design and its alignment with the needs of the beneficiaries.
Discussion: The program's curriculum design and the systematization of prior studies facilitated a more comprehensive approach to optimizing community leadership, small-group collaboration, the families' endogenous educational potential, and the school's educational role in promoting epigenetic health. The implementation process yielded favorable evaluative criteria supporting the dissemination of the training program's essential elements, in line with the study's objective.
