Primer ciclo formativo del médico general básico en el Policlínico Julio A. Mella de Camagüey

Abstract

En el curso 2004-2005 comenzó un nuevo modelo pedagógico para la carrera de Medicina, que convirtió al policlínico en su principal escenario. Se realizó un estudio descriptivo longitudinal para valorar los resultados del primer ciclo formativo de este modelo en el Policlínico Universitario Julio Antonio Mella de Camagüey. Todos los graduados en julio de 2010 conformaron el universo. Se analizaron los expedientes docentes y se entrevistaron a profesores, estudiantes y tutores. Pese a las dificultades propias de la introducción del modelo, ninguno de los inicialmente matriculados abandonó los estudios. El grupo se destacó por participar en exámenes de premio y jornadas científicas estudiantiles. Tanto estudiantes como profesores expresaron opiniones favorables. Por sus resultados, el primer ciclo formativo se calificó de satisfactorio.
